Depression

Depression can hit any one of us at any time.  We tend to shy away from admitting we are depressed because often it’s not an illness that is obvious.  People can see a broken bone or a cut or operation scar but we tend to try to put on a brave face to hide depression as a lot of people think of depression as being a mental illness.  It is the degree which it takes hold that is the problem.  One person may lose someone close or have a bad experience and after a while they lift themselves up out of their depressed state and start coping again.  But another person may have exactly the same experience but suffer a far deeper degree of depression.  Living with depression is like losing part of yourself, feeling as if you are going mad.  Other people tell you to snap out of it or pull yourself together, it’s not as easy as they think.  The first thing you need to do though is understand that you CAN beat the depression.  if you click on the blogroll opposite there is a very useful ebook that can help guide you through your depression.
